Our Activities -- Re-enactments

Each year the group plan to hold a summer social event which is based around some kind of re-enactment with the emphasis on a topic of archaeological interest.

Bronze-Age Sword Casting July 2002	Neil Burridge from the Bronze Age Craft Centre was invited to cast a sword for the group

Roman-British Cooking 2003 - 2004	Group members and their guests experimented with a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients. The afternoons were both entertaining and filled with good cheer!

Ancient Crafts June 2009	.Members of the group researched a number of crafts including spinning, weaving, paper making and bone tools. The Bar-B-Q provided an opportunity for bringing the results together with hands on experience!
